Yep, I give lessons in didgeridoo, voice and keyboard.
Lesson costs are:
$50 an hour in studio
$55 an hour if I travel to your house.
Here’s what I can offer….
Didgeridoo
First we find what your goals are and then we work together on technique including the “mother of all didgeridoo techniques” circular breathing. I tend to take an experimental approach to things so I can offer what I know the best way I can. I like to make things fun and taking things into the “space” where one can play in an effortless way.
Voice
Your voice is the most personal way that you can express yourself. This is what makes singing such a challenge for most of us. In lessons you learn to sing with more confidence and comfort by learning techniques that help the voice express what you need it to without hurting it.
Keyboard (AKA piano lessons)
These are NOT YOUR MOTHER’S PIANO LESSONS though. Focus is on experimentation and not expectation. Ok maybe a little expectation but certainly fun and joy in learning to play keyboard and/or piano. A little focused theory and technique goes a long way and reading music is only one way of learning. The focus is placed on style or song(s) you wish to learn and acquiring the tools you need to reach that goal.
I work from the concept of getting into that space of beginner’s mind where one can (hopefully) play without the confines of expectations. So when you schedule a lesson, don’t be afraid to experiment or keep an open mind that yes you can do any of these and do with beautifully.
